Dr. J. Ghayathri is a seasoned academic leader and administrator with over three decades of experience in higher education, specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge Management, and Business Intelligence. Her professional journey reflects a strong commitment to academic excellence, institutional governance, research promotion, and innovation-driven education.

She has over two decades of distinguished service as Head of the Department of Computer Science and MCA. During this period, she played a pivotal role in departmental development, curriculum design, faculty mentoring, research guidance, and strengthening institutional quality frameworks. She actively contributed to NAAC accreditation processes, academic audits, and quality assurance initiatives, ensuring the continuous improvement of teaching-learning practices and research culture.

Dr. Ghayathri has also served as Principal in colleges affiliated with Bharathiar University, where she provided strategic leadership in academic governance, institutional administration, regulatory compliance, and policy implementation aligned with UGC regulations. As Principal, she focused on strengthening academic standards, promoting research activities, enhancing student outcomes, and implementing quality-driven institutional practices.

She has further contributed to academic development at a Deemed-to-be University, where she played a significant role in academic coordination, innovation initiatives, and faculty development programs. She organized and coordinated national-level workshops and Faculty Development Programs in emerging technology domains, including Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), Data Science, and Cyber Security, fostering technological competence among faculty members.

Dr. Ghayathri also served as MCA Academic Coordinator at a Private University, Bengaluru, where she supported academic program management, curriculum coordination, and accreditation documentation, contributing to institutional quality enhancement and academic governance.

An accomplished research mentor, Dr. Ghayathri has guided over 500 postgraduate student projects and supervised 16 M.Phil. research scholars in Computer Science. Her research contributions include 13 publications in international peer-reviewed journals, reflecting her engagement with contemporary advancements in computing and information systems.
She actively involved in innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives in higher education, she has successfully nurtured a culture of innovation within the institutions by imparting startup awareness, innovation activities, and entrepreneurial ecosystem development.
