About IQAC:

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is a significant component of higher education institutions, particularly in the context of accreditation and quality assurance. It was established as a mandatory requirement by accreditation bodies like the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in India. IQAC functions as a proactive body for planning, guiding, and monitoring quality assurance and enhancement activities.

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Sasurie College of Arts and Science has been established in the college on 15.05.2018 as a post accreditation quality sustenance measure.

Functions Of IQAC:
  • Setting quality benchmarks with consistent work
  • Creating parameters to reach academic as well as non-academic learning goals
  • Creating a student-centric teaching-learning environment
  • Enabling faculty to efficiently use edTech tools for innovation in education
  • Considering the feedback of students, faculty & parents for the best practices
  • Organizing various workshops & seminars for the quality education environment
  • Documenting all the activities in chronological order & keeping a tab on improvements
  • Preparing & submitting one of the most important – Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per the instructions of the NAAC.
Objectives of IQAC:
  • To foster a culture of quality consciousness and continuous improvement among all stakeholders within the institution.
  • It ensures compliance with accreditation standards, statutory requirements, and other quality benchmarks set by regulatory bodies.
  • IQAC works towards facilitating the process of continuous improvement in all aspects of the institution’s functioning, including academic, administrative, and support services.
  • It monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of various academic and administrative processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing remedial measures.
  • IQAC focuses on enhancing the quality of teaching-learning processes by promoting innovative pedagogical practices, incorporating feedback from stakeholders, and adopting modern teaching methodologies.
  • It encourages research and innovation among faculty and students, fostering a culture of inquiry, creativity, and scholarly excellence.
  • IQAC promotes stakeholder participation by involving students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the community in quality assurance activities, decision-making processes, and feedback mechanisms.
  • It identifies, documents, and institutionalizes best practices in various domains, including academic governance, student support services, and administrative procedures.
  • To enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the institution by streamlining processes, optimizing resources, and aligning activities with institutional goals and objectives.
  • It promotes transparency and accountability in all aspects of the institution’s functioning by ensuring open communication, ethical practices, and adherence to established norms and standards.
