Economics Course
The Department of Economics was established in the year 2022 as a self-financed program. The subject B.A Economics was offered to the students, in order to study the discipline of economics, thereby encouraging analytical thinking and a pragmatic approach to Economic problems. In addition to providing a strong foundation in Economic theory, the focus is on issues specific to the Indian context. The process of rational decision-making taught in Economics is of great value irrespective of the career a person chooses.
Vision
To increase interest amongst the students towards Economics subject; to motivate them to evaluate current update on Indian Economy, and strive to solve the locally relevant problem through its role in the development of the rural region.
Mission
- To develop the Economics thinking of the students.
- To learn basic statistics knowledge for further higher education.
- To create an environment that supports solving rural problems and gives its usages to ground level by economic modeling etc.

Eligibility
BA Economics eligibility criteria require students to complete class 12th board exams from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% overall marks or an equivalent CGPA. Admission to BA in Economics courses is merit-based and entrance-exam based.
