Overview

The department was established during the year 2010, with the courses offered for under graduate Computer Science, after that Post graduate course in Computer Science also extended during 2011 with Computer Science

Uniqueness of the department

The department conducted many inter-department, inter-collegiate programs to motivate students for future. The main aim of the course is to make the students into a software engineers, developers Data Analyst, Tester, Network Administrator, Database Administrator in IT field or in Banking Sectors. Our department conducted Guest lecture, National level seminar and International Conference to provide a paper.

  • The Department of English was established in 2011.
  • It proposes both UG and PG courses to gain experience in the array of literature and language.
  • The department imparts students with mastery in the field which produced University Gold Medal (1st and 9th Rank) at the postgraduate level in 2018.
  • The Theatre Society GEOWIL and JOEFRA organizes Theatrics, Mimes, Tableau shows, and skits performed by the students.
  • Our department has organized a variety of International and National conferences, seminars, and guest lecturers since its inception.

Department – UG Overview HIghlights

M.Phil. in Computer Science

Candidates with Masters Degree of Bharathiar University in the concerned or related discipline or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto by the Syndicate of Bharathiar University are eligible.
The candidates should have passed a post-graduate degree course either with SSLC + HSC + UG + PG (i.e., 10 + 2 + 3 + 2) or with 11-years SSLC + PUC + UG + PG (i.e., 11 + 1 + 3 + 2) or with 10-years SSLC + 3 years Diploma + 2 years UG degree + 2 years PG (i.e., 10 + 3 + 2 + 2) or with 10 years SSLC + HSC + 4 years UG degree and 1 year PG degree (i.e., 10 + 2 + 4 + 1). Thus, only the candidates possessing a PG degree with 17 years of total duration of study alone are eligible for admission to the M. Phil., programs.
The candidates possessing professional degrees such as M. E., and M. Tech., and PG degree in Medicine, Law, Agriculture and similar other professional courses are not eligible for admission to the M. Phil., programs in the University.

Ph.D. in Computer Science
